By signing this form, you are releasing Wayward Horse Foundation and it’s volunteers from liability for any injury or loss when on their property or hosted activity. Horses are animals and injury can occur when handling, riding and working with them. This release of liability will be in effect for signer and family when applicable. This will remain in effect at all times. Each individual not related to signer should complete a separate release form.
I understand that Under Texas law (Chapter 87 Civil Practices and Remedies Code), an equine professional is not liable for any injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities.
when horses come to us, some have histories, some do not. We try to check the horse as carefully as possible for training abilities and sickness. All are wormed and vaccinated before leaving. A vet log and medical history will be supplied when available. We can not “guarantee” any horse who enters and leaves, but we do try to make the best match as possible with the new owner.
Wayward Horse Foundation retains ownership of adopted horses for 1 (one) year, then will turn full title over to new owner upon proof of proper care during this probationary period. During the first year, you may return the equine to WHF at any time for any reason, but without a refund. If you do have a good reason and you wish to adopt a different horse, a part of your adoption fee may or may not be applied to the new horse at the discretion of a WHF officer; this will be decided on a case by case basis. If you are unable or unwilling to keep the equine during this period, you MUST return it to Wayward Horse Foundation. (YOU MAY NOT SELL THIS HORSE DURING THIS ONE YEAR PERIOD)

We will do our best to match you to an appropriate horse, and we will contact you when a match comes in. We get new horses all the time, but there is no guarantee that the perfect one will come in meeting your exact specifications. We appreciate your interest, and thank you for your application.
we do not hold horses for people, we do not finance them, and we do not send them out for "test drives".
